Digital Marketing Strategy: Viveka von Rosen on How to Ignite Your Content Marketing with LinkedIn

As the host of Bright Ideas, I get to interview a lot of very successful people and every time I do I have one goal: to totally knock your socks off. I want the interview to be so good that you just can’t help but tell everyone you know about it.

Today’s interview with Viveka von Rosen on how to ignite your content marketing with LinkedIn is one such interview. It was so full of golden nuggets that I had to take two full pages of notes!

When you listen to this interview, you are going to learn:

  • how to prospect without EVER making another cold call again
  • how to develop a killer LinkedIn strategy so that it doesn’t turn into yet “another” social network that just sucks up your time
  • the #1 mistake to avoid when building your network (make this mistake and you can never recover from it)
  • 2 killer LinkedIn hacks that will allow you to connect with whoever you want without having a premium account
  • what I was doing wrong with my profile and how I fixed it
  • how to become a master with groups so that you exponentially increase your reach
  • how to find the keywords that you should be targeting, and then what to do (and what NOT to do) with them
  • how to create a ninja boolean search to find just the right prospects for your products
  • how to leverage LinkedIn signals to keep a watchful eye on what people are saying about you and your competition
  • how to ensure that your profile is configured for maximum benefit
  • and so much more!!

LinkedIn is a powerful business tool that you can use to make valuable connections for yourself and your company. Do not skip this interview!

Trent, I just listened your interview with Viveca, the Google LinkedIn Expert – and I loved and enjoyed it!
I also wrote pages of notes, when you were muttering something and writing notes that’s exactly when I was writing my notes. What a fantastic interview full of valuable informations and suggestions, wow!
I just subscribed to get your updates, and quite frankly cannot wait to listen to Bill Baker and Stephen Woessner!
    Thanks so much!

    Hey Trent,
I’ve been following you for a while now and I have to say I am impressed with your latest venture here at Bright Ideas. I really like the approach you are taking and how you seem to be going about positioning yourself for future services and/or products you will be offering to marketing agencies and entrepreneurs. It is very much a pay it forward approach.

This particular podcast, while quite lengthy (I listened to it in 2 sittings, one lying down!) was extremely useful with regards to marketing, promoting, and networking yourself on LinkedIn. I already connected with Viveka on LinkedIn and plan on doing the same with you. Additionally I have been implementing some of the strategies you discussed and have a much better focus on growing my presence and connections on LinkedIn. I’ve been a victim of working too much “in” my business as opposed to “on” my business and an opportunity has recently presented itself that will allow me more time to focus “on” my business, which is great! I’m also going to check out your Lifecycle Marketing Guide.

Keep up the great work and awesome podcasts filled with “Golden Nuggets”!
    Cheers,
    Jason

      Hey Jason,

If I had a comment of the month award…it would go to you :)

      Trent

PS. If you think having access to a lead generation course that I’ve designed for agencies would be helpful to you, let me know and I’ll give you free access as a token of my thanks. The course is called The Best Buyer Formula.

      Cheers,
      Trent

        Hey Trent,

What more can I say? I will graciously accept the award for comment of the month, thank you very much!

More importantly I have just been reading the link you sent me for your Best Buyer Formula course and it looks really awesome. I am very grateful for your generosity in giving me free access to this course, thank you very much! I am sure it will be extremely beneficial to me. At some point I’ll let you know my plans for the future with my business because I think this course + a lot of the other products you have in the pipeline will be a great fit for my clients. I write Immigration Business Plans and everyone I work with is coming to America to either start a business or buy an existing business, mostly starting a new business, and they need all kinds of assistance in growing their businesses.

On a separate note, I left a comment on Dan’s blog, Informly. It was the one where he increased his LinkedIn conversions by 866% in 2 months. I mentioned your podcast and he said that he was only talking to you on Skype this week, small world! He asked me for a link to your podcast so I will go ahead and give him the url in the comments section of his post and hopefully you’ll get some more visitors.

Have a great rest of the weekend!

        Cheers,
        Jason

          Hey Jason,

Glad to hear you are enjoying the Best Buyer Formula. Would you mind if I used a portion of your comment, along with your name and picture, as a testimonial that will be shown on the sales page for the product?

          • http://jdcconsultancy.com Jason Coles

            Hey Trent,
I think you’ll need to send me a user name and password in order for me to get free access to the course. If you need my email let me know, but otherwise please just use the one I have entered for commenting.

It is no problem at all to use a portion of my comment along with my photo and name etc. for your sales page, go for it! On a separate but related note, I wonder whether it would be beneficial for you to have a check-box at the bottom of your comments that says “notify me of follow-up comments via email”. The only way I know that you have replied to my comment is to keep coming back and visiting this page. I think it would help with future interaction between you and the commenters. Just a thought :-)
            Cheers!

            Hey Jason,

I’ve just added the comment subscription functionality :)

      Me too Jason :))
PS – in the world of making things easier – do you have the new LinkedIn Contacts? sign up for it at contacts.linkedin.com = its the CRM I was referring to!
