Get on the Amazon eCommerce Fast Track
The EFT was start with the goal of bringing together like-minded individuals around the complex topic of eCommerce both on and off Amazon. Thanks to the power of the community, I wanted to concentrate the diverse experiences of eCommerce entrepreneurs into one group.
Tools We Use
Listed on the page below are some of my favorite tools. Most of them I actively use. Some have been recommended to me by guests on my show.
Disclosure: Some of the links below are affiliate links. That means that if you click a link and then buy the product, I will earn a commission. This does not add any cost to your purchase.
Amazon Product Sourcing
HubSpot: This is my favorite CRM and when it comes to keeping track of the products we are trying to source, as well as our day-to-day communications with suppliers. It is also the backbone of the product sourcing system that allowed my company to go from $0 to over $100K/mo in our first 5 months.
Zapier: This is an amazing resource that allows me to easily connect one app to another without writing any code. In our Amazon business, we use Zapier to import product data from a Google Sheet into HubSpot.
Snovio: Quickly locate supplier emails for outreach.
Gmass Chrome Extension: Very useful for sending out emails in bulk.
Price Checker 2: This software is absolutely key to our “mass production” product sourcing system that I explained in episode #213. With Price Checker 2, we can easily extract the entire product list from another seller into a Google Sheet…which we then use Zapier to import into HubSpot.
JungleScout: Junglescout is critical to our sourcing as it provides us with a huge amount of incredibly important data.
Viral-Launch: Provides another means of sourcing. This tool allows you to search for products and brands via a large number of filters.
Email Marketing & Automation
Neverbounce allows you to upload lists of emails to confirm they are valid addresses. This helps lower your bounce rate and maintain your sending domain integrity.
For marketing automation software, we HIGHLY recommend an automation solution. We’ve used both Keap (formerly Infusionsoft) and Active Campaign (this is what we’re currently using).
Video Marketing
When it comes to building my audience, YouTube plays a vital role and by far my favorite tool for helping me to get the most out of YouTube is TubeBuddy. TubeBuddy makes every single part of YouTube marketing a lot easier!
Content & SEO
SEMrush has developed an amazing suite of SEO and keyword planning tools.
We use Topic to develop SEO-optimized content. 50% off your first month with code BITOPIC.
Podcasting
Descript provides an excellent service for podcast transcriptions and easy (text based!) audio editing.
bCast is the software we switched to in 2020 to host our episodes because they offer some incredibly valuable features not found on any other platform.
Hosting
Bluehost: A fantastic hosting company that offers very affordable hosting for WordPress sites.
Payments
Veem makes wire transfers a thing of the past. It’s better than PayPal, with a simple $1 fee on most transactions.
Amazon Tools
Amazon Seller Forum: This is a super popular forum just for Amazon sellers.
Seller Legend: This helps us track profitability, manage inventory and plan reorders, and more.
Helium 10: This is another tool we use to track profitability, manage inventory and plan reorders, and more. Use promo code BRIGHTIDEAS10 to receive 10% off every month, or use codeBRIGHTIDEAS50 to receive 50% off of the first month.
How Many: This is a wonderful Chrome extension that allows you to see how much inventory each of your competitors has, with just a single click.
RevSeller: I absolutely love this Chrome extension because it allows me to very easily determine the profit margin and FBA fees for a product from right on the product listing page.
ChannelMax: This is the tool that we use to automate our re-pricing. If you have a lot of products, you are going to need to use re-pricing software to stay competitive and after testing several, this is our pick.
Zon Master: This is the tool that we use to ask buyers to leave seller and product reviews.
Teikametrics: This is our preferred tool for managing and optimizing Amazon PPC campaigns. It is highly automated and saves a ton of time over other tools we have used.
PPC Scope: This is the less expensive PPC campaign tool that we used to use before using Teikametrics for managing and optimizing Amazon PPC campaigns. It may still be appropriate for you if you can’t afford the Teikametrics price tag.
SellerLabs Scope: Scope by Seller Labs is a tool that we use for keyword research and keyword tracking.
Zentail: This is the tool we use to allow us to easily sell on Walmart.com, Jet.com, and eBay.
IO Scout: This tool works as a Chrome extension. You can use it to easily access product detailed statistics and data right from Amazon websites. You can also add specific products to your tracking lists to monitor them.
Graphic Design
We use Graphic Rhythm for our graphic design needs. They have a great set of designers who consistently knock our socks off.
HR and Operational Tools
Flowster: This software provides us with an automated way to run our Standard Operating Procedures. You can think of Flowster as a recipe book and SOPs as individual recipes. (Disclaimer: Trent Dyrsmid is a founding member of Flowster.)
HubStaff: This affordable time tracking software is what we use to manage our VAs’ time. The paid version includes things like keyboard and mouse tracking, screenshots, and payroll. Tons of integrations with Basecamp, Teamwork, Trello, etc. 10% off a paid plan with this link.
